Sindercombe Social: Art as the Pub’s Character
Shepherds Bush, London
One of our favourite projects was transforming The Sindercombe Social in Shepherd’s Bush. Our role spanned the design and execution of a full mural package—both inside and out.
For the interior, the aim was to complement the atmosphere without overwhelming it. After all, pubs are places to unwind. We created a series of sleek, minimalistic patterns that played with geometry and line, carefully integrated into the pub’s architecture and existing materials—exposed brick, dark wood, and textured panelling. The artwork was designed to subtly catch the eye without demanding attention, enhancing the character of the space while keeping the vibe relaxed and welcoming.
In contrast, the exterior called for a completely different energy. Facing the busy Goldhawk Road, the facade had to stand out. We went bold with an explosion of colour and movement that wrapped around the building, acting like a visual invitation to anyone passing by. The graphic composition of pinks, reds, blues, and black created a dynamic, high-impact identity for the venue that now makes it unmistakable in the local landscape.
This project was all about balance—creating a dual personality for the venue that could be both loud and expressive on the outside and refined and atmospheric within.
