This is just an interval | O2 Academy Brixton

In August 2020, we did a full redesign for O2 Academy in their most legendary venue, the Brixton Academy.

Being a Grade II listed building and a prominent London landmark with its iconic place in music culture, the mural was no small task. It is part of their campaign “This Is Just An Interval”, a positive message of patience to their fans while venues around the world are put on hold. But they will reopen and burst into life once more. The choice was to represent a fort of speakers, not only to link them to concerts, but mainly as a tribute to the sound-system culture that Brixton was such a large part of with their roots in dub, reggae, jungle and more. Various press outlets covered the event and locals are thrilled.
